Len McClusky from Unite the Union mentions WEA

At the Unite the Union launch event of the WEA developed ESOL online course, Len McClusky, the General Secretary, gave a speech regarding how important Unite view education. He made a reference to the role the WEA play in this:-

‘Trade Unions were the bodies that wanted to educate working class individuals….The Workers’ Educational Association was first established in 1903 and provided men and women with the opportunity to get an education.  The slogan, educate, agitate and organise encapsulate how workers could improve their lives.’  Here this at 5min 15secs.
